Clicking on a stack of containers doesn't open up the menu

When I right click, it selects half of that stack instead of opening the block's menu. Specifically I'm trying this with the Ender Chest and the Crafting Table, but I assume it is the same with other blocks.

The server I'm using this on is on version 1.21.4 and won't update again for a while, so a fix that works with this version would be appreciated.
