Feature Request and Timeline Inquiry for Dayflow

I hope this message finds you well! I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for Dayflow — it’s a beautifully designed and incredibly useful tool. I’ve been using it regularly, and it has genuinely helped me stay organized and mindful of my daily workflow. Really AMAZING! Great job on creating such a thoughtful product!

I do have a couple of questions and a feature request I’d love to hear your thoughts on:

​​Cross-Device Sync​​: As someone who switches between two Mac devices throughout the day, I was wondering if there are any plans to introduce cross-device synchronization in the future? This would be a fantastic addition for users like me who rely on Dayflow across different platforms.

​​Dashboard and Journal​​: I’m also very excited about the upcoming Dashboard and Journal features! Could you share an estimated timeline for their release? I’m looking forward to exploring these additions and incorporating them into my routine.

Thanks! I appreciate the kind words. Cross-device sync, that's hard. Currently Dayflow doesn't have a global backend - everything runs purely on device for privacy reasons. I assume most people wouldn't want their data flowing through a server, so that's going to be lower on the priority list, but totally makes sense later down the line.

Re: Dashboard and Journal - dashboard is going to take a bit, especially since I want it to be extremely customizable. Maybe I can add some simpler fixed graphs and charts in the meantime. Journal should be ready for beta testing in about a week. Will let you know when it's ready!

I will definitely start using the Dashboard and Journal as soon as they are launched. I suggest starting with a minimum viable version — just the simplest features first, and then gradually iterating. There's no need to achieve perfection in one go.

As for cross-device synchronization, I understand the challenges involved. Alternatively, would it be possible to add a simple data export feature, such as exporting to CSV or JSON files, to make it easier for users to consolidate and analyze their data?
