Restore not swiotching to fallback partition

Hello, I am trying to downgrade my RM2 from 3.20.0.92 $\rightarrow$ 3.3.2.1666 so that I can use toltec. I seem to be getting an error in using codexctl, and upon rebooting nothing has changed. Any ideas what is going on?

My steps:

1. downloaded firmware version 3.3.2.1666 onto my macbook. This produced a file 3.3.2.1666_reMarkable2-ihUirIf133-.signed
2. extracted 3.3.2.1666_reMarkable2-ihUirIf133-.signed to produce 3.3.2.1666.img
3. transfered the image 3.3.2.1666.img to RM2
4. output from mount on RM2:

from which I determine that mmcblk2p2 is my fallback partition.
5. now I run: dd if=/home/root/3.3.2.1666.img of=/dev/mmcblk2p2, which had the following out:

6. restore from my macbook installation of codexctl

7. Rebooted anyways - nothing has changed.

@alexliebmanp You don't appear to be running the latest version of codexctl, could you try again with the latest version?
