I can't make codexctl executable

I'm using Putty and WINSCP to try to downgrade to version 2.15.1.1189 but for some reason I'm stuck trying to execute codexctl. from -l it shows it as a directory and it says I need to build from the source code when I'm asking chatgpt.

"If codexctl is indeed a directory:
You need to ensure you're in the correct directory where the codexctl file (the executable) is located. If you see files like codexctl/main.py, codexctl/analysis.py, etc., that means you have the source code of codexctl."

Where am I going wrong?

So i have Putty, WIN SCP. I've used WIN SCP to put the codexctl-1739239465.tar.gz on and then I've used putty to execute that, but I'm stuck there. I'm not sure how to build and where to go from there.

So you didn't extract the tar.gz file?

I believe that I did extract that. But I'm not sure, past that because according to chatgpt there should be a codexctl file in there but I don't see that I just see a codexctl folder that has some python files in there.  I've took a screenshot of that file after extraction.

This appears to be the source code instead of the prebuilt binary as outlined by https://github.com/Jayy001/codexctl?tab=readme-ov-file#installation
