Permissions error

This is what my workflow looks like;

I'd tried setting the token, but nothing seems to work.

Do you need to run all of these commands with sudo? It's likely messing up the file permissions and as such making it so whenever the action tries to run a git config modification it can't.

I'd suggest try removing the sudo commands first and see if that resolves things.

Yes, I needed to run the package installations as sudo else it wouldn't have worked.

I'm facing a different issue at the moment, and will leave this open if I fix that and this still persists.
