Realsense Viewer on Surface Pro for business not displaying correct

trying to get a surface pro up and running with realsense Viewer and when i open it up displays a small box and image in a larger box but on top of eachother. on my normal laptop not an issue . Anyone know how i can fix this>>> thanks in advance

Hi @jasonl275 Does the display correct itself if you press the F8 key on the top of the keyboard to enter the Viewer's full-screen mode and then press F8 again to toggle back to the normal view, please?

d415 @MartyG-RealSense . if i plug it into my normal laptop its fine but maybe becuase different viewer verison?? 2.56.3 on laptop and what eve curretn on surface i can look. i figured somewhere in settings but havent found right one yet . Orignally i thought maybe didnt work with snapdragon chip so i sent back and have intel chip in it now

Thanks very much for the information. I meant, which camera product are you using? Have you plugged a RealSense camera into the computer or is the RGB image coming from a built-in webcam on the laptop or Surface Pro?

I have not seen a broken window display like that before.

Have you updated the graphics driver on your Surface Pro recently? If not then the driver might be out of date, and in that case I would recommend updating it to see whether it helps resolve the issue.

@MartyG-RealSense seem to be better with older version on real sense viewer, Originally we thought maybe something to do with snapdragon Chip.. so we traded out to INtel. Q

Question, does the real sense viewer work with snapdragon or not?? do you know? just seems like intel chip and 16gb ram in this is slower

RealSense cameras are validated for use with any Intel or ARM processor. Unofficially they have been shown to work with AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors too.

I only know of one past RealSense case at #8595 involving a computer equipped with a Snapdragon processor, and that case had problems too.

Snapdragon processors are based on ARM architecture, though.my understanding is that they are a customized version of ARM.

The RealSense Viewer has a graphics acceleration function called GLSL. It used to be enabled by default but it is now disabled by default because it caused problems for some Windows users. You could try using the instructions at #8110 (comment) to access the GLSL settings in the recent Viewer version, but enable them instead of disabling them if you find that they are disabled. As GLSL was enabled by default in the older Viewer versions, this might give you a performance boost in the recent Viewer versions.

The settings should look like the image below when enabled, with blue boxes beside them. Make sure to click the Apply button to apply the changes after enabling them.
