Have you guys noticed that the mobile app for Google News covers far more countries/languages than are available on the web app? For example, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Jordan, Mauritius, Moldova, Nicaragua, North Macedonia, and Sri Lanka are all available as locations on the mobile app, but not on the news.google.com website. I tried to identify the gl, hl, and ceids for some of these countries to plug into the rss and query url formats for Google News, but they always default to en & previously selected region. I also attempted to use an HTTPS proxy on mobile device to discover the endpoints when switching languages/regions with no luck. What's going on here? Surely if we can select regions on mobile they should be accessible on desktop programmatically. Has anyone else encountered this issue or tried to work around it to access more news?
