Hi, that preference makes possible to see the background image, so it always should be on true with 'main-image' configuration. And that image will always show in sites that didn't have set a background-color. Maybe you can set a background color for those sites you have problems, adding the next code at the end of the 'userContent.css' file:

Hey,
So I'm visiting quite often sites that apparently tend to have a transparent background, for which Firefox then uses my main image. The only issue is that the website becomes almost completely unreadable (see image)
For me personally it's not a goliath of an issue, since my eyes did eventually get somewhat used to it being like this. But even if it isn't a goliath of an issue, it's still a Leonidas the first of an issue (300 refernece lol).
I have read that one can do something with browser.tabs.allow_transparent_browser in #235 but it didn't do anything for me.
