Easier-to-edit tables

It is difficult to edit tables once they are generated because an entire column or row can't be selected. The one work around is to edit a table in another app or website, then copy and paste it as a whole straight into Gitbook. This is obviously inconvenient. Please change this so that tables can be edited more easily.

Do you mean editing the text in a table?

I didn't write the original comment but YES - at least for me - it is about editing the text. Say I create a table and fill in a bunch of data in many rows and then decide it would catch the eye better to make the whole first column in bold. I cannot just select the whole column and add that attribute. I would need to go cell by cell, select all the text and then bold it. Takes way longer than it should
Also - since the latest release with the updated tables, pressing return in a cell no longer gets me a new row. now I need to use my mouse to click the plus sign at the bottom to get a new row. In one of my sites, meant for internal use, I keep some notes from our weekly meetings and I use a table for that. I always add the new date at the top and then put the notes from that date into cells. So the + for new cells is way at the bottom of the page so I have to click on the row options to add a new row below. Kinda hard to describe with text - but just hitting return in a cell to get a new row was just sooooo much more simple and user-friendly.
Looking forward to the upcoming webinar to see if there is something I am going to like about the new tables that I just haven't stumbled onto yet, but so far not a fan of this change.
