Merge function for table blocks

It would be really useful to be able to merge cells in a table.

Hey! Thanks for suggesting this, while it's not roadmapped, I am curious to hear about some examples of how you'd like to use this. Mind giving an example or two? :)

Hi, yes sure. For example, I might have a table where I want to show which telemetry readings are affected by certain data parameters.
In the attached image, I'd like to merge rows 1-4 in column 1 and rows 5-6 in column 1.

Thanks a lot! If we decide to implement merging I may touch base again for testing/getting your opinion if you don't mind :) The table has a couple selection and reordering/sizing issues I'm focused on fixing first, this should also bring the table in a more stable state. Perhaps this'd provide a foundation to consider merging cells next!
