Search in community, any area

I am not a developer, I am a technical writer who creates customer-facing documentation.

I would just like the ability to be able to search through what has already been requested easily and see if my request is already here, but I cannot. Why can't I just easy sort through the feature requests since that is the area I picked using the search bar?
