Prevent inline images from showing fullscreen image view on click

I use inline images in documentation similarly to this page in the GitBook official docs. The image represents a display icon that does not need to be expanded by the user.

The fullscreen image view creates a confusing experience for visitors that expect the link next to the icon to open when the icon is clicked.
