What's your feature/idea?

We need improved media management. These are our most desired features.

• A global directory that crosses spaces. We often use the same image in multiple spaces.
• Improve the file naming visibility in File Manager.
• Ability to see how many times an image is linked, and what pages use it.
• Ability to find and purge unused images.
• Better image browsing.
  • The thumbnails are too small to discern.
  • It's time-consuming to download each one to examine.
  • We lose context when trying to find a particular image.
• Searchable image tags and descriptions.
• Additional filters:
  • Images used on the current page
  • Images that match a specific tag
  • Images that match a description keyword
  • Images uploaded by a specific user
• Ability to replace an image in the file library, automatically updating all instances linked on multiple pages.

What's your desired outcome?

• Improved productivity. We could reclaim time from manually searching for images when editing pages.
• Reduce redundant image uploads. We often resort to uploading the same image again if it's needed on another page because we can't find it in the file library.
• Improved synchronization with the ability to replace images in-place.
• Improved discoverability. Filters, keywords, search by owner, search by page context - All these improvements help us be more productive.
