Hi Team,
We’re facing some issues with GitBook’s comment feature that are affecting our collaboration:
Problems:
Comments Disappear When Switching Modes
Comments made in Read-Only (published) mode vanish when switching to Edit or Editor mode, even within the same version. This makes it hard to track feedback during editing.
No Central View of Comments Across Requests
Comments are isolated within individual change requests or views. Feedback in one CR isn’t visible elsewhere, causing important comments to get lost.
Comments Disappear After Merging CRs
Comments made inside a CR only show up during that CR. After merging, they are gone, which makes referencing past discussions difficult.
What We’d Like:
These improvements would greatly enhance our team’s collaboration, especially with distributed members.
Thanks for considering this request!
