Feature: allowing to define styles when uploading datasets or creating maps

Feature Description

When creating a map or uploading a dataset it would be good to be able to set the style for the uploaded / created geonode object. Maybe use geoserver-rest to check if style exists.

Hi, this would be interesting, there is the sld_file params that can be used during upload.
I tried to use geoserver-rest for changing style in maps, however there are permissions checks over the styles made by geoserver proxy in geonode that prevent direct style manipulation.

@pchevali hey thanks for you comment. I have just looked into this from a theoretical perspective so far. But i might going to takle this issue soon. But with the permission checks you describe it might get harder to realize as it may includes using oauth against the geoserver-rest api

Are you wishing to keep the json parameters sent when uploading a dataset ( permissions, mosaic ...) ?
To my understanding these are not used anymore since moving to the new importer introduced by version 4.1.
It can be interesting to expose also overwrite_existing_layer, skip_existing_layers and others importer parameters.
