Trigger activation not showing up on final map
Hi - nice resources!
Just looking through the "QGIS Trigger Workflow for Somalia" example, I wonder if there's a minor bug:
As I (mis)understand it:
- you've set up nicely to develop a trigger based on
SPI-12 forecasts
&IPC food insecurity projections
- you've then calculated whether/not trigger is activated for each district
- you then colour the border of the district based on trigger activation:
- pink = trigger is activated
- green = trigger not activated
It looks to me like the final map may not be reflecting your desired message:
- currently, all the district borders are green - see screenshot below. Suggesting the trigger hasn't been activated anywhere.
- assume for training purposes you'll be wanting to show "look, you can use trigger going off in these places but not others to inform your response decisions"
It looks to me like the with/without trigger maps higher up do show this message - again see screenshot below.
Guessing it may simply a matter of a minor mistake having been made in the final step of preparing the map - using the "without trigger activation" map to make & export the final map, rather than the intended "with trigger activation"?
Apologies if I'm wide of mark here!
Current print map in Step 8 does not show trigger being activated anywhere (no districts with pink boundaries) |
But the current map "with Trigger activation" at right of with/without examples in Step 6 does show trigger activated in some districts (some districts in North, South have pink boundaries) |
