Can I recreate FNF along with the game assets

So yesterday, I was going to start recreating FNF but, I have heard that the assets (sprites, sound effects, music, etc) has a different licensing and I also heard that the assets are protected under copyright law. So I wonder If I'm allowed to recreate FNF and use the FNF assets? I know it sounds like that the answer is right in front of my face but, I still want to ask because there are a lot of mods that literally use FNF characters.

thats cuz theyre FNF mods, the protection doesnt really affect them that much.

Well, the devs didn't say anything about whether if you can use fnf related stuff in mods or not so I'm not sure about that.

In License it says:

• all game content (graphics, music, sounds and other resources) is intellectual property and cannot be distributed or used without permission from the copyright holders.

• No one except the official owner can distribute the game or its resources for free or for money.

But it is very hard question in contexts of fan made projects, it is case by case situation.
But you could probably use it. Just when publishing anywhere, credit back to FunkinCrew.

If I were to make the remake, I don't even know if I'm going to publish it but, if I do then, it's going to be a fangame (with no microtransactions or any way of making money off of the fangame) and I will credit the devs. Also, I really do think that the devs should really be specific on what you can do and what you cannot do because since the fnf assets are copyright protected, that means that any mod that features anything that is related to fnf is basically breaking the law.
