I'm opening this issue as a bug report since I'm not sure what else this would fall under. I was opening some of the flash files to tweak them and check them out when I kept receiving the issue shown in the image. At first, I thought it had to do something with my memory but everything seemed fine. I think some of the older flash files are corrupted and unusable. Some animations appear in animate and some do not. I don't know if this is an easy fix but I just wanted to bring some attention to it.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open BoyFriend_Assets.fla or GF_ass_sets_CHRISTMAS_VARIANT.fla in any recent version of Adobe Animate.

Wasn't able to reproduce this, might be that you need to redownload the files or find a computer with more RAM.

I think it may just be an issue with my computer, but I was able to open these files 1-2 years ago. It may just be my laptop running low on storage. Thank you for the help!

Oh I've since been able to reproduce the issue, it's Adobe's fault! They can't maintain functional software! Try downgrading to an older version of Adobe Animate maybe.

downgrading to 23.0.0 fixed this issue for me

I also have the same issue, but it has 32 gigs of ram, so I don't know what the issue might be.

You might need to undownload some of that ram /j
