Issue with snowpack requested cheerio-select version?

Hello!

I'm trying to start a React + Typescript app with Snowpack. I've run the following command:
npx create-snowpack-app lorebook --template @snowpack/app-template-react-typescript --use-yarn
where lorebook is the name of my project.

This works fine, but after cding into the project folder and running yarn start, I get:
Error: Cannot find module '/<path_here>/lorebook/node_modules/cheerio-select/lib/index.js'. Please verify that the package.json has a valid "main" entry.

After looking into node modules, it looks like the cheerio-select folder is indeed missing a /lib/ folder.

Things I have checked:

• Node is up to date (14.15.3)
• NPM is up to date (6.14.9)
• Yarn is up to date

Any idea what the issue might be?

It seems to be a package issue: I don't see that file in the package. Ex:
https://unpkg.com/browse/cheerio-select@0.0.3/lib/

Not sure exactly how yarn list works, but I definitely see cheerio as a dependency of snowpack, which itself has cheerio-select as a dependency. Maybe this is only an issue when using snowpack via npx create-snowpack-app.

In any case, I've moved to create react app.

oh wait, it looks like cheerio recently released a new version. Testing 1.0.0-rc.5 now

Ah, it looks like you landed right inside of this cheerio issue (now fixed): https://github.com/cheeriojs/cheerio/releases/tag/v1.0.0-rc.5

v3.0 will have all deps bundled with our Snowpack release, so this kind of issue will no longer be a problem post v3.
