Make dev server available on local network

How do I make the dev server available on the local network? Setting devOptions.hostname to 0.0.0.0 or 127.0.0.1 doesn't work.

Weird. 0.0.0.0 is accessible on localhost, 127.0.0.1 isn't. Neither are accessible on other devices on the local network.

This is the config:

Using other dev servers like webpack's or rollup's work fine.

Ok I think I found out what's going on. It's WSL2:

  http://localhost:8080 • http://172.29.183.104:8080
  Server started.

It doesn't seem to get the ip of the host machine, which should be 192.168.1.40, but the virtual network adapter's one.

I can access the dev server on localhost:8080 and 172.29.183.104:8080, but not on 192.168.1.40:8080.

Oh interesting! We just use this snippet, which uses the Node.js built in "os" module:

I'm having the same issue. I'm not even running through WSL, but for some reason Snowpack is grabbing the IP of my WSL virtual network adapter

Weird.

Disabling that adapter seems to make snowpack switch to my computer's actual IP, but I still can't access anything in my network. I've confirmed the same code is accessible from my Mac.

So turns out the problem was I had to let Node.exe through my windows firewall. Even with the WSL adapter enabled, the Network IP shows up as the WSL adapter (which I'd still say is not intended behavior) but using my desktop's actual local IP still works.
