Delete old adressbooks

Hello,

I've reinstalled DAVx5 and Fossify contacts, but from the old installation the address books (DAVx5 sync) are still shown:

How are you deleting them?

• Maybe try deleting the account in DAVx⁵ before uninstalling it.
• Sometimes, on some devices, an old android backup is restored by the system. If you have backups on, you can try turning it off in settings => system => backups.

I've found no option to delete address books. If I disable sync in DAVx5 the address books are still shown.

Backups are disabled.

I meant remove your account in DAVx⁵ app before you uninstall it. Alternatively, you can try deleting the problematic account from Passwords & accounts option in system settings.

As a last resort, you can try the following:

• Settings => Apps => Show system apps
• Search for Contacts Storage (not Contacts)
• Clear data using Storage & cache => Clear storage option

Be warned that this will also clear your synced and on-device contacts and might have unknown side-effects, make sure back up your contacts if you attempt to do this.
