Issues with text loading with SSL certs enabled

So I loaded a docker container and setup a SSL cert to it so that I can access it outside my network and found that it takes a long time for it to load the initial text infomation on the main page. Once it loads it seems to work but if you refresh the page it does not load any text again for a while.
The text on the bottom like time and the scroll bar ontop work fine.

It sounds like the API responses are timing out or taking a long time to respond if you get the actual HTML page. Do you have any errors in the web browser console or the dev tools network tab? That would help narrow down what it might be. Potentially CORS with it being https?
