The extension is no longer available from Chrome Web Store:

This extension is no longer available because it doesn't follow best practices for Chrome extensions.

Further down on the page, it says:

Privacy
The developer has not provided any information about the collection or usage of your data.

In Chrome Extensions settings (chrome://extensions/), it says:

GitHub Real Names
Off • This extension hasn't published privacy practices, such as how it collects and uses data

I would assume it's just a matter of the author stating how data is collected, to make it available again.
