New "Rapid-Release" system frequency

Hi!

I'm the current maintainer of the Floorp package for NixOS/nixpkgs.

According to https://blog.floorp.app/en/release/12.0.0-stable-schedule, Floorp 12 will switch to a "Rapid-Release" system.

What will be the expected frequency of these releases? This is important to evaluate the feasibility to further maintain Floorp in nixpkgs.

Building a browser is quite a resource-intensive matter, especially on the scale on nixpkgs and rebuilding a full browser every few days is a no-go, IMHO. Apart from the considerable human resources required, that's also to consideration.

Thanks for your question—and also for maintaining the Floorp for NixOS/nixpkgs!

I checked with the developer, and the release cycle for Floorp 12 Stable will follow the same pace as Floorp 11: at least once every 4 weeks. There may occasionally be more frequent releases, especially for urgent fixes.
