I sometimes get questions about how to disable relative paths, but at the moment, it’s not possible.
The only way people have been handling issues with relative paths is by adding workarounds in the regex replace or within their template.
So, I’d like to ask: Have you encountered any issues with relative paths, or would you like more flexibility with them?
Adding an option should be simple but as the code is a immense spaghetti, some bug can be created and need to be discovered if the feature is added.
