Problem with installing YoutubeGOv5.0.16 on Windows 7

Thank you very much for the YoutubeGO v5.0.16 program!
I installed YoutubeGO v5.0.16 on a Windows 10 PC and it's beautiful
works. But I also have a Windows 7 Ultimate laptop. During installation
YoutubeGO v5.0.16 on the laptop immediately gives the error " Program startup
installation is not possible because api-ms-core-path-l1-1-0dll is missing"
I had Microsoft Visual C++ 2005-2008-2010 installed in my system-
2012-2013-2019. I downloaded and installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2017-2019
-2022. Rebooted the system. I started installing YoutubeGO v5.0.16 again
and the same error appeared again: "The installation program cannot be started

because there is no api-ms-core-path-l1-1-0dll"
What should I do and what should I do?

Hey, thanks for the detailed report!

YoutubeGO v5.0.16 uses modern components (Python 3.10, PySide6, Qt6), which rely on system-level dependencies that are only supported on Windows 8 and above.

The error:

api-ms-win-core-path-l1-1-0.dll is missing

...is caused by the lack of certain Universal CRT components that are not available on Windows 7, even with all Visual C++ Redistributables installed.

This is a known compatibility limitation related to the runtime itself, not something that can be fixed by installing extra redistributables or individual DLLs.

I tried an older version that uses PyQt5, but yt-dlp support for Python 3.7 has also been discontinued. The most error-free way to use it now is to switch to a Windows version above Windows 8.

YoutubeGO v5.0.16 is a great program. Downloads everywhere: Youtube, Vkontakte, RUTUBE.
