Unable to use units and scientific notaiton at the same time

Hello.

Whenever I have sceintific notation active, and try to calculate anything with units (or any letters for that matter), the results are complete gibberish. I have added a screenshot of the situation.

Any ideas what might be wrong? I have tried to uninstall and reinstall, but the issued wasn't helped :(
