I'm running latest (rolling) Kali Linux and I'm trying to test my database for security issues using sqlmap. At the start, I was getting Increase open files limit error, thought it was sqlmap problem, reported and then sent to the guide at: Increase “Open Files Limit”
Good boy as I am, I followed the guide and it worked, the file limit is now 500000 and I'm not getting the same error. But now I'm getting new error, ***** buffer overflow detected *: terminated it happens when ever I change the file limit to more then 1024.
Again, being a good boy I tested it out on Ubuntu 21.10, which doesn't gives me any of these two errors. So it's gonna be some setting in Kali I'm missing. I'm not a Linux guy, I only know how to run commands and search on google, however, I cloudn't find any thing related or easy to understand.
Your help is appreciated!
