Global total discharge volume in the context of coupled run #526

Some analyses are needed to ensure total runoff exported from CTSM is preserved in runoff imported into ROF component (both MOSART and mizuRoute). Some tasks are:

  1. Compute in global total runoff exported from CTSM: Flrl_rofsur, Flrl_rofsub, Flrl_rofgwl. These are coupler outputs. unit is mm/s so multiplier by CTSM grid area to get volume.
  2. Compute in global total runoff imported into ROF (the same variable names as above). The same conversion from depth to volume by multiplying imported runoff depth by ROF grid area.
  3. Compare those to see how much difference.
  4. repeat above for MOSART (0.5 degree, and 1/8th degree) and mizuRoute HDMA.
