Does readModel() handle compressed files?

Can readModel() automatically handle a file that has been compressed, e.g. model.mps.zip?

I realize this isn't actual documentation, but it hints at this feature.

It's not working for me, and I'm trying to figure out whether that indicates a configuration issue or if it's actually not implemented.

It depends on how you are installing HiGHS, and whether ZLIB is installed on your system. Please give details. I think that whether it works or not is largely automatic, but @galabovaa is the expert.

yes ZLIB is linked to automatically if it is present on the system and you are building the C++ code. However, for some interfaces it is not enabled: Please give us more details about how you are using HiGHS.

1. Which OS?
2. What programming language?
3. Are you using the JuMP precompiled binaries, or building your own binary or using the library?

Thanks for the quick responses. I'm using the NuGet package on Windows 11 from C#. It works to read in the .mps file without compression, but not the .mps.zip.

Sorry if we can't support compressed MPS files in this interface, but I don't imagine that it's much of an overhead
