Filament database/import eksport function

Would it be possible to create a database hosted here on github, or maybe just a csv file, that could be shared and edited/maintained by spoolman users, containing filamentdata eg vendor, density, temperatures etc.
This database or csv file could then be imported to the local installation, either with a simple import csv function, or a more advanced "online database sync function".
It seems ineffective that we are all entering data for the same filament, instead of simply maintaining a common database.
