how to build locally #1

Description

@cornfeedhobo

Did you ever figure out how to get dustbuilder to work locally? It seems the codebase might not be public? Any insight?

I tried to ask on IRC, but got the usual treatment:

<cornfeedhobo> I'd be happy to help make a solid and repeatable local build process if I can get some information about the details and intent of some steps...
<Hypfer> If this is not up to your expectations that's fine. In that case, don't use it.
<Hypfer> I personally believe that having a rooted firmware with free reign to run a complete free software under a permissive license with no tracking, no ads and no payment required is already much much more than anyone could ask for
<Hypfer> Overall I'm very unhappy with the IRC. Its short messages lack the ability to properly convey information and due to the userbase it's mostly me having monologue in a way that is likely being misunderstood
<Hypfer> Hm. Having scrolled back a few months, I don't think anything worthwhile is happening here. No offense to anyone. It just doesn't seem to be a productive conversational space
*** Hypfer sets the channel mode to 'moderated'.
*** Hypfer sets the channel mode to 'invite only'.
*** Hypfer sets the channel topic to "Gone".
<Hypfer> See you guys on the internet
