Description
Describe the bug
Using GBE Fork (experimental or regular) with Forza Horizon 4 (applied on my clean steam files), the game only works as long as you stay in the menus or in the garage, but when you go into the game and it renders the city, after a few seconds the game crashes. With the Goldberg_Lan_Steam_Emu_master--475342f0 this does not happen and you can play and the overlay works, but with this fork the overlay doesn't open (even with many other games the overlay only works with the original emulator, but that's not why I'm here, I've already read that you can't take care of it for now and I understand that). The same problem seems to have been reported in this post on cs.rin.ru.
Emulator version
I tried 2025_07_20_Exp, 2025_07_20_Reg, 2024_08_Exp, 2024_08_Reg, with or without Goldberg XLive offline emulator, with or without overlay enabled in configs.overlay.ini
Debug log
Some personal information has been redacted.
steam_settings file
This is one of the configurations that i used.
Requirement
- I am uploaded debug log.
- I am uploaded steam_setting file.
- I am sure the game not using 3rd party server (Photon, Playfab, GC, etc).
- I am sure can run the game offline.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Obtain CSF of Forza Horizon 4
- Use generate_interfaces_x64.exe with original steam_api64.dll
- Copy DLL's from Experimental folder
- Generate steam_settings with generate_emu_config.exe
- Copy steam_settings in the game folder
- You can add XLive emulator, change some settings in steam_settings, nothing will change things.
Expected behavior
The game works properly, even online if you don't use the XLive emulator, like with Mr. Goldberg's old emulator.
