GBE can't just magically make SteamStub go away. |

gbe_fork works awesome with normal Wine on my computer.
But on Steam Deck I am trying to launch a game through Steam so that I can launch it in game mode. But I get an error popup saying no licenses. I have tried a few things:
PROTON_DISABLE_LSTEAMCLIENT=1
. Also doesn't work.What eventually worked was using Steamless to strip Steam's DRM completely. But I would rather use gbe_fork if possible.
Strangely, on my Linux laptop where I don't have Steam installed, gbe_fork works fine when I use it with Lutris and set the env var
PROTON_DISABLE_LSTEAMCLIENT=1
. But it is only on Steam Deck where I am having no luck.Thanks for reading.
