SolidWorks Flexnet Server doesn`t work

Describe the issue

Hi, first of all thank you for making this Guide. I am no IT-Expert but with your help i was abel to run the Software.
I have two Laptops, one with Windows 11 and the other with Windows 10. On both was Solidworks installed before. I have everything removed what i found on both devices. I downloaded the 2021 Version. There was the problem with the window which said there is a newer version. There i could follow the other issue topic. On the 2-3 try everything works on the windows 11 laptop.
Now i tryed the exakt same on the other divice, but the first thing that i noticed was that after merge the sw2021_network_serials_licensing file and dropping the copy of the SolidWorks_Flexnet_Server in the Program Files folder and starting the server_install. In the comand windows is written, the following:

FLEXnet License Manager is successfully installed
as one of your Windows Services. Some handy tips:

    * The FLEXnet License Manager will be automatically started
      every time your system is booted.

    * The FLEXnet service log file is lmgrd.log in your NT system
      directory.

    * To remove FLEXnet License Manager, type 'installs -r'

When i try again this shows up

Failed to install FLEXnet License Manager:
FLEXnet License Manager is already installed
The FLEXnet License Manager was not successfully

The importend lines are in german, but they are saying thar the SolidWorks Flexnet Server could not be started. The service has not reported an error.
On the other laptop was the same message like in the video, that the server started successfully.
Than i tryed it to go on an install solidworks, before the installation ther was an issue with Solidworks Electric and an SQL Server. So i kicked Solidworks Electric out and than insalled. After the installation i tryed to start the sofware but there was a problem with the licence. I think because there is no connection to the server.
Then i uninstalled it again and tryed that the Flexnetserver worked in the first place. But everything i triyed failed. I unistalled the server and installed again, i have turned every Windows defender and firewall down, Deleted all services with the solidworks Flexnet server, so in the services.msc and regedit. Restarted the PC, looked on the other laptop if something is diffrent and also exchange folders from the workig laptop to the other one to hope that helps. Also to start the server manually. I did everything equal to the other laptop.

Maybe you can help me, i looked in the web, but a lot was withe actual solidwork licence programm and not befor installation. Or should i maybe first install it and try to make a new server with this tool?

Hi, thanks for the quick response. I tried youre suggestions, but till now it is the same result.
I delteted everything again, restarted the pc and began with the videoguide till the point where the connection with the server ist done. I installed the server manually but the same text was shown. I try to started the server on services.msc but there it failed also. In the window was written:

Sorry for the late response, was on holiday.
To your step 2a: I think i don't have a file called lmgr.log, the only log file is called SW_D_00481b00_event.log. You can look on the picture which files are in the folder and the content of the .log file.

To Step 2b: Here is the file, but i coudn't find the port
sw_d_SSQ.lic.txt

To Step 2c: I did what you said an the status said the following:

Hi, sorry for the late response. I created this account only for asking for help here, i don´t log in regulary.
Last weekend i thought, after reset of the Laptop and all the other stuff i tried, i give it a last shot and looked for youtube videos to this topic. And in one comment i found what was wrong, why the flexnet server didn´t work. My hostname on this laptop got an ö in the name and it is only allowed to be the english alphabet. Maybe you can add that in your guidline. Or it stand there and i didn´t read it, because i watched the video.

Do you still need the ZIP-file?

I don't need credit haha. But you can tell me if i can delete this getintopc zip-folder after everything is working? Because i did it and everything seemed fine. Today i wanted to open Solidworks but the error (-97,121,0) appeared. So i searched after it and found this video https://youtu.be/YlUZkPEkDiI?si=XSz5ZrYDeav6N0Jp , this shows that i have to merge the licensing again. I haven't been able to try it out yet, because i am not at home and the file for that was in the getintopc folder. Thats why i ask if it might be wrong to delete the folder?

Now, before you delete the GetIntoPC folder, restart the device and run solidworks, test it by making a quick shape, extrude play around for 5 minutes, save model, attempt to open again, etc - if all works restart then open solidworks then close it - If no issues occur, you can delete the zip and folders downloaded
