Unable to control any RGB devices

Describe Your Problem:
Unable to control any of the RGB components in pc.

Homebridge running on a NAS.

OpenRGB server running on PC with RGB components.

NAS and PC on same local network.

OpenRGB logs suggest there’s constant opening and closing of connection with the client (NAS running homebridge).

Have tried with and without child-bridge.
No other conflicting RGB software running.

Some additional context:

Out of curiosity, used the same plugin version with an older OpenRGB version (Release 0.9 - July 9, 2023) from OpenRGB website. I am able to control the RGB components that are detected by OpenRGB. Some of the components are not detected but that is probably due to it being an older version (I guess..). So something is breaking the integration between the latest OpenRGB version (1.0rc1 - February 22, 2025) and plugin (v1.43).

Yes, it looks like this is because of breaking changes that OpenRGB made. The OpenRGB SDK for Node.js needs to be updated to address those. You should open an issue over there about supporting the latest SDK protocol.

The SDK only supports version 3 or 4 of the OpenRGB protocol. It needs to be updated to support version 5, which is what newer versions of OpenRGB are compatible with.

openrgb-sdk has not been updated in more than a year so not sure how quick of a fix it will be.
Just wondering if I can fork that repo and make the changes and publish to npm, would you be willing to consume that package instead of the current package in package.json?

If you plan on making the changes, I would recommend opening a pull request with them first. If the maintainer does not respond to that, I would be open to using a fork of the package.
