Description
CREATE MISSION STATEMENT
INFORMATION TAKEN FROM WEEK #4 SLIDES
Increase delegation to more dReps.
Build a decentralized distribution channel for governance.
Address voter apathy and activate more ADA in governance
Development of a DREP ecosystem map -> Airdrop (Within Intersect)
Refining metadata standards -> Soulbound NFT & Voting Platform
Structuring sustainable governance initiatives -> Code of Ethics?
Make a mission statement this week.
How do we remove centralized blockers and how do we facilitate people making decisions non-linearly?
How does this create an advantage for Cardano?
How does it make the ecosystem faster?
How do we make the pie bigger for everyone? (Business Model).
Help the community ecosystem understand itself.
How to help scale.
ROUGH DRAFT:
The DRep Collective is driven to bring forward good governance practices and interactions among participants within the broader Cardano community.
The outcomes should drive the growth of DRep participation and community delegations while increasing overall participation within the Collective.
To accomplish this we provide an air-dropped ecosystem map identifying Cardano communities, areas of interest, and DRep involvement within both, in order to facilitate alignment amongst both delegate and DRep.
We will use current metadata standards and, where necessary, refine and submit our own CIP(s) if the current standards fall short of our requirements.
Ultimately the experience is a more granular governance participation that connects DRep to delegate via shared interests, concerns, and goals while also promoting decentralized governance.
Maintaining the mapping will require the launch of mobile-first technologies, focusing on limited data usage.
Core requirements are transparency to one another and to the broader community, while remaining accountable to both.
As our Collective increases in size, participation, and impact, we will continue to refine our processes, goals, and drivers to seek out more thoughtful paths capable of bringing Cardano governance knowledge to the masses.
NOTES:
- From Ben Ohanlon: At a very high level I think we want to improve decision making at scale in decentralized systems AND to build decentralized distribution channels to support governance and growth.
