Interesting.. It's not a lot of $$. I do wonder if they would have made a bigger impact with 10 projects with 1000€ each? Being 1/10 is a lot more newsworthy than 1/100. Also it is a lot of work to evaluate 100 projects or for that matter to give them all $100. It might cost more for some projects than they would get. |

The OpenSustain·tech and Ecosyste·ms team has launched OpenClimate.fund, a community-driven initiative to support open source projects that address climate change and biodiversity loss. They're starting with 10,000€ to support 100 projects with 100€ each. This could be useful for small-scale DPGs and you can learn more from the announcement blog post. Cheers!
