OpenNIC not working: cannot resolve any OpenNIC domains

So I tried configuring OpenNIC but it doesn't resolve any OpenNIC domains. I suspect that dnscrypt-proxy prefers non-OpenNIC servers and doesn't forward the requests to OpenNIC servers appropiately. How can I configure that it does do that without forwarding everything to OpenNIC servers? Is that even possible? Or do I have to pick between the two poisons of ICANN-only DNS, or perhaps slightly slower OpenNIC DNS?

## DNS64 is a mechanism for synthesizing AAAA records from A records.
