I ran dnscrypt-proxy release 2.1.1 in Catalina without issue for months. I updated just the Unix executable file dnscrypt-proxy to release 2.1.2 and it would run until system shut down. It does not start up on it own when I reboot the system. I can start it manually in terminal, but I can not get it to start automatically upon system startup. I attempted a complete fresh install, same result. When i replaced the executable with my 2.1.1 file, or did a clean install of 2.1.1, it runs at system boot/startup as expected.
On a maybe unrelated note, macOS Catalina Security & Privacy does not automatically show dnscrypt-proxy anywhere in the privacy tab. Manually adding and giving the dnscrypt-proxy exec file full disk access makes no difference in functionality of either release that I can determine.
Thank you for any insights you may have.
system: macOS Catalina 10.15.7
