Right now one can define the amount of layers a coil should use. Therefore a 4 layer coil on a 6 layer PCB is possible. However, when the coil layers do not match the stackup layers, it should be possible to define the starting layer. This way it would work to have a coil that is only on internal layers.

Is it desired to place a coil trace on every n-th layer? For example a 4 layer coil on F.Cu, In2.Cu, In4.Cu and In6.Cu?
