500/404 errors on production?

Currently I'm getting a 404 error on cantusdatabase.org

and a 500 error on e.g. https://cantusdatabase.org/feasts/

It's been happening since about mid afternoon, so a lot more than the "few moments" indicated in the error message, and I'm not sure why the errors are different for different pages. And I got an email from another user about it, so it's not just me...

This happened again Saturday morning (according to Debra and an unnamed user), and again around noon today (although it seems to be working right now.) Current hypothesis is a server issue caused by AI bot traffic, whatever it is, it's happening often enough we probably want to find a working solution.
