Nice job Xinpeng! I think those are good research questions for this dataset. I would be careful about replacing missing values with a mean value. That is sometimes done, but I'm not sure it's appropriate for these data - especially given that children is by definition an integer. I think it's fairly likely that those missing values were meant to be 0, originally (that's just my guess, I haven't looked into it).
