Very nice job Jocelyn. Below are some notes I took as I read. In general things are looking great. My main suggestion is to spend some more time explaining the plots to your reader.

• Nice job describing your dataset, research questions
• Great job using purrr to combine datasets
• Analyses
  • Household food security in our sample…
    • Maybe compute proportions here, and plot counts as text values in the plot
  • Distribution of age by food security levels
    • Give legend clean title
  • Smoker distribution by food security plot
    • Re title legend
    • Might be useful to plot count values in the graph
  • Income poverty ratio plot
• RQ1
  • These analyses are GREAT!
    • I might consider adding the quantitative variables back in. This might get you more information to answer your research questions.
• RQ2a
  • First plot
    • Give axes cleaner titles
  • CRP risk classification by food security group
    • This plot is great
    • However, I would re-scale the y axis using scale_y_continuous(limits=c(0,50)) to go at least up to 50%. This will make the plot easier to read.
• RQ2b
  • BMI classification by food security group and crp level
    • Relabel facet values to include CRP. That is, the panels should read “low crp”, “moderate crp”, “high cap”
    • This will make the plot easier to read.
    • This is a complicated plot, but it is very informative. Spend a bit more time walking the reader through it.
  • Diabetes classification by food security group and crp level.
    • I suppose it doesn’t CRP doesn’t explain the relationship between diabetes and food insecurity, but there does appear to be an effect of both food insecurity and CRP level.
    • Also a complicated plot, but informative. Spend a bit more time walking the reader through it.
  • Blood pressure plot
    • Rescale y axis
    • This plot is a bit clearer. But still, explain it a bit more in depth.
