I cant login into Crunchyroll website and through CRD anymore.

Logfile says:

Error: System.Net.Http.HttpRequestException: Response status code does not indicate success: 401 (Unauthorized).

Is there any way to resolve this? Or is the account just busted without contacting customer support?

Got same situation. Think they're just IP banning people who use downloaders.

Something very important I should mention which makes me believe it's not the device limit is that I was logged OUT of my sessions and my password wouldn't work anymore. It wasn't reset and I didn't get any email about it. I reset the password (without changing it) and then tried logging in. That's when I got the error.

ok, yes, that does sound strange. If I remember correctly, the last time I hit the 20-device limit it just started logging me out of the oldest ones, so it’s possible this is something else

Yeah I’d support the 20 devices thing, since I switch VPN servers and restart a lot and hit the same issue. Based on my experience it lines up with that limit.

out of curiosity, I tested the 20-device theory, but as expected, it just removes the oldest devices and still allows logging in. That means this issue has nothing to do with the 20-device limit

Yeah, so I pretty much hit the nail on the head. My account was banned. I'm not going to blame the downloader (directly) but I'm pretty sure they don't just do this to people for no reason.

If you try to log into CRD there should be an error saying "no new sessions allowed" in the log.

News: Crunchyroll doesn't allow new subscriptions from my IP.

I created a new account after the old one got borked, and I tried activating a free trial. I input my card details and authorized the test transaction in my banking app, then I was met with this wonderful banner:

It happens both on LibreWolf and Chromium.
It doesn't matter how many times I try it, it's always that error.
