Feature Request: Parking or Archiving a Show

I've been using CRDL for a long time now and I still think it's an awesome piece of software. Kudos to @Elwador!!

After months of adding shows, my History tab is full of non-current shows that may or may not have another season at some point. I don't want to delete the shows from my history since adding them again will trigger redundant downloads, but it takes a long time to refresh all the active and inactive shows in my history.

Given this situation, it would be nice to have a way to "park" or "archive" a series. In other words, remove it from the active history scans, but retain it's download history so that it can be un-parked if / when another season ever comes out. Or is there a way to already do this that I am unaware of?

Theoretically, this can mostly be managed using the Continuing Only filter — but that currently only works when used with Sonarr.

It would definitely be possible to implement an option to archive a series, so it doesn’t get refreshed during active scans. Archived series could then either:

• Be hidden from the All filter and shown only in a dedicated Archived filter, or
• Remain visible in All, but clearly marked as archived so they're easy to distinguish and are not refreshed even though they are visible.

Maybe it would make sense to have different filters called "Active" and "Inactive" (or similar), with the "All" filter containing literally all shows, both active and inactive, which kind of seems more intuitive for something titled "All". Scans would then only include those from the Active tab.

Of course, you're the programmer and can determine the best or most efficient way to do this. I'm just throwing out ideas. 😂

That was just my first thought on how it could look like 😄 But yeah, it does make sense to keep them in "All" and also refresh them there, since the button is labeled "Refresh Filtered" — otherwise, the button behavior might seem inconsistent.

I'm just not sure if "Inactive" shows should appear in other filters, even if they technically match the criteria. I assume that if someone sets a show to inactive, they probably don’t want it showing up anywhere except in "All" or a dedicated "Inactive" filter.

Though it would be nice to have "Inactive" as a category, it may not be entirely necessary if that's going to cause a problem. If we have an "Active" category and an "All" category, then it's implied that inactive shows will be the ones in All that are not in Active. At least you can still get to them to make them Active if needed.
