It's be good for the README to include the dependencies, components and an overview. Also it would be good to include the license once it is decided.

I support this Issue, and I don't believe that @ConsistentlyInconsistentYT in the short term will make any changes to this repository, last commit was 6 MONTHS AGO

Maybe take this issue at your own hands @FusionSandwich ? Read the files, and create your own README.MD and then do a Pull Request, I believe that's the only way, for now at least.
