Adding CSS to Theme

I got 2.3 beta3 so I could add CSS to my theme and tried to replace this:

        styles: |
          .bubble-button-background {
            opacity: 1 !important;
            background-color: ${state === 'on' ? '#75754d' : '#323E54'} !important;
          }

I looked at the .ts file, played around with the Chrome inspect tools, and took a few shots like:

  bubble-button-background: "#75754d"
  bubble-button-background-color: "#323E54"

No joy, Or is this even possible?
