Add SSL_CERT_FILE inside lookup?

Hey! I've got a rule lookup like this:

            lookup('checkmk.general.rules',
            ruleset='special_agents:vsphere',
            description_regex=esx_hostname,
            server_url=checkmk_url,
            site=checkmk_site,
            automation_user=checkmk_automation_user,
            automation_secret=checkmk_automation_secret,
            validate_certs=False)
}}

and want to switch it to validate_certs=True. In all my plays I have SSL_CERT_FILE set and validation works, but inside the lookup it wont. Any Idea what I can add to the lookup that it uses the ENV SSL_CERT_FILE with the correct trust store?

I have no idea from the top of my mind. This is either a generic Ansible question, or lookup module specific.
Did you ever make any progress on this?
