LangGraph update!

We have upgraded NeuroPilot to use LangGraph as the orchestration layer for our AI pipelines.

What this means

• More reliable flows: ASK, QUIZ, and SMART NOTES now run through explicit state graphs with better error handling.
• Cleaner logic: Each step (retrieval, synthesis, parsing, validation, PDF generation, etc.) is modeled as a node, making the codebase easier to reason about.
• Performance improvements: Structured state transitions reduce wasted calls and allow more efficient parallelization.
• Future-proof: This foundation enables streaming, retries, caching, and monitoring without hacks.

Why LangGraph?

Previously, logic was chained sequentially with defensive parsing. LangGraph introduces:

• Explicit state definitions instead of hidden parameters.
• Easier debugging by visualizing graphs and transitions.
• Extensibility: adding new nodes or behaviors (summarizers, validators, caches) requires less boilerplate.

What’s next

• Streaming answers word-by-word alongside strict JSON outputs.
• Smarter retry strategies and fallbacks.
• Easier contributions from the community, as each feature is just a graph definition.
• Exam modules, so you can simulate a test or exam in neuropilot
